After composing Trinity I had sudden inspiration to compose another "electro-symphonic" work of the same scope and style. I began by laying out a single 7-note chord with the intention to explore it in great depth. I investigated the cosmic name, Pleiades, which is suitable in so many ways. Other than the obvious "sevenness" of the concept, it rings personal for me as a Taurus. As a kid the first constellations I learned about were the Dippers, Orion, and Pleiades. Those were different days and in a different place, where the night sky was much less light-polluted than it is now, at least where I live. In New Jersey I can scarcely see Pleiades, though with Orion and Taurus staring down at me all winter, I know it is there, and sometimes visible. The Seven Sisters have mythology in virtually every ancient culture, and they are visible in most places on the planet for good portions of the year. In short, they are popular sisters.

My composition is episodic and slow-moving. I did bother to demark an Intro, 7 sections, and an outro, but it is heard as seamless, and there is little variation between the sections. They mostly outline fairly large phrases that may or may not deal with a particular "treatment" of the chord, but there is no compositional system in play. This work is reflective of the mining of my piano for beautiful chords. I mainly strove for pacing, grandeur, and small happenings, reflective of the mind while it observes ethereal things as the night sky.
